Can you tell me please, what is your problem with Sasha? She can't land a single quad? So sorry to disappoint you in your hate, and give you the advice to watch the whole show next time, because then you would have seen that she landed a 4Lz-3T in warm-up. So once again the question to you, what is your problem? Because you don't come across as caring for anyone, but dissing for no reason.
I am stating the results of the performance Sasha brought about in competition and the shock of the events. I did not expect her to fall behind like so.

Again she did not land a single quad in competition. I am not referring to the warm-up. She did not bring it when it counted. Just like Adeliia did not deliver on her quad loop even though she’s been able to land it in warm up several times this season.

If that upsets you and makes you emotional it is best not to read any of my posts regarding when skaters I like do not deliver.

I would have stated the same about Anna, Alena, Liza, Kami including All the Sofias, Adeliia, etc. if they were to the level of Sasha previously and shockingly fell so behind like this after scoring behemoth scores (248+) for so long. If Sofia A with similar behemoth scores these past seasons last grand prix went down to 208 I would have also done a similar analysis regarding her form and it needing to improve or else she would lose nationals.

As you seem to be extremely bothered by my post if you cannot handle my analysis and thoughts based on each skater’s performance you can easily ignore them. It is not difficult.

I'm not bothered of your "analysis".
However you try to portray it, now ... it is not correct to give a false image of someone.
That's the only reason for my reply.

It would have been interesting if the Russians were able to compete internationally. Currently none of their last year seniors can do a quad or 3a (dont remember if Elizaveta has landed one this season). Quite frankly I think Alena, Anna and Alexandra will probably never land a quad or 3a again. I would maybe believe Alexandra could if she was still with Eteri but she's now with a Russian coach who is a nobody.
Eh, I do not agree. The Russian ladies are tough.

As for Alexandra she has been experimenting this domestic season which I like but switching to her boyfriend’s coach specifically is what made me doubt that choice. It could truly be a good decision for her in the long-term we don’t know yet. It is just the fact that it is her boyfriend’s coach that threw me off though it could be a good thing if it works out well with this coach.
Also she is not a nobody coach. If she is successful with Sasha she will make a step towards being known in Women's singles.

Do not sleep on Liza she is doing better than ever. Probably in the best shape compared to all the Seniors at the moment. Pushing 3As at multiple competitions (even while sick). She’s working on stabilizing that 4T and even practicing 4A’s for the heck of it.

I really liked Sasahs short. Complex choreo, something fresh finally.
But that free program was atrocious in all aspects. Sure it is still in progress.

How they gave her 9 in pcrs is totally ridiculous. I

Liza really is not someone who someone should write off. She is such a role model for younger generations… I only wished, she had a reliable 3-3 combo.

Yes, the SP definetely looks more prepared. She didn‘t had a full month to learn two new programs, right? If so I am not too much concerned about the actual status of her free program.

Petrosyan and Samodelkina looked good, granted of what I've seen them compete they are still question marks in terms of consistency. Trusova SP was good, better than the SP at Test skates, the FS however matched the music - depressing. If she's that injured they should have gotten rid of the quad or WD. She only has a couple weeks before her next event, if she's not much better it would probably be better for her to WD than have another performance like she did today and quite possibly not even podium

I agree about her short. I love this style and hope she sticks to it as it works. I know some people mentioned they don't like the music, but I really liked it. I think it suits her.

As for her PCS the main reason I do not speak on PCS that much for skaters and focus more on tech is because even with the criteria set for PCS it is so subjective due to the judges being fickle. There is no real bar or standard to refer to and compare.

The reason I say there is no standard is:

For example, one skater in the free skate can have lower PCS than a previous outing even if they had a better/wonderful performance than that previous skate and depending on who else is also on the ice their PCS are capped. On the other hand another skater can receive sky high---higher than ever---PCS with a poorer performance than previous with multiple errors while crying during the performance if the judges want to push. This up/down with no consistency in PCS has been the case for many skaters both domestic and international. I do not even try to inspect PCS with the set ambiguous "benchmarks" or requirements for composition, presentation, and skating skills anymore.

If you try to hold it to a standard using the rules the ISU set you will realize it does not make sense why some skaters scored so low and others so high. It is up to each judge so I leave it be. They see magic or terror where I may not.

In the end I will say that to the judges at this event these are the PCS they felt Sasha deserved. For these judges Sasha's skills in the PCS portion checked their boxes to get her 9's and 72 total in PCS.

Alexandra in this free skate had the same BV (slightly less though by 0.17 points) as Rinka of Japan at 62 BV who won skate Canada. From 95 BV to now 62 BV. That is a massive drop, but I wasn't expecting 5 quads this season so I knew it would drop but not to this level. Besides the issue with her most stable quad not landing in this comp, I was shocked to see 2Lo, 3Lz-eu-2S, and a 2Aq in that sequence combo. Is this resulting from the injury or the getting used to the new training method? If it is the injury I agree that she should not push as her back condition could get worse. She should treat her back and withdraw from the GPs if it's getting so painful to the point that she cannot even push the 3-3s she used to with ease.

If it is the training it will take time to get back into her form from the last few seasons using new coaching methods. In that case she shouldn't withdraw and she just needs to get used to training with her new coach. Hopefully we can see good results with their teamwork before Nationals if that is the case.

Though looking back I remember that during test skates she struggled to push 3-3 in the short while with Eteri so.... I strongly suspect this may be the injury. I think she should withdraw if injured, but she knows her body better than me.

Yes, and that is because the judges are STILL using PCS like they did in the 6.0 era when it was all about comparing skaters. The biggest error with that kind of judging is that STILL skaters that skate early never can get high PCS, it is reserved for the last group, just like it was during the 6.0 days.

To me it looked like Sasha was out of shape. She seemed to have lost a lot of strength, she was super slow over the ice, and at the end she ran out of gas. It reminded me of Kostornaya after her "vacation" visit at Plushenko's.

Yes, being out of shape can also be an option (and I would be less worried since she can condition herself back into shape). If this is the case hope to see her in shape by Nationals if the next stage is not successful.

I am so behind with the news on Russian Women.

Who can we expect to show up in the last 3 stages for Seniors??

Shcherbakova
Tuktamysheva
Usacheva
Khromykh
Kostornaya ?
Sinitsyna
Muravieva
Peterimova
Gushchina
Gulyakova
Onishchenko
S Molchanova
Talalaikina ?
Kulikova
M Zakharova
Berestovskaya
Frolova
Dmitrieva
Kostina
Sultanmagomedova ?

Have I missed anyone? Or are some of these women surely NOT competing??

Out of shape and it doesn't look as if she is actually training much. Frankly it was a sloppy, phoned in mess that showed very little effort. Maybe the injuries are terrible, in which case she needs to take the year off and re-evaluate. For years she trained intensely to be the best athlete possible, and I enjoyed those years-watching this gutsy fearless girl change the sport forever. I have HUGE respect for everything she has done-her performance at test skates in 2021-I don't think any female will equal it. I still watch it with a sense of awe that any human could do what she did that day.
Yametova, Zacharova and even a few others like Fedyanina have obviously busted their humps, working hard day after day, to put out the great programs they skated today. For Yametova especially, it was very unfair to see Sasha gifted for that mess.
