It's really interesting to see the change in pairs versus women. In the last Olympic cycle we had pretty high pairs tech content, but now S/H are the only ones going for something like a quad twist. But in the women it's the opposite: more ultra-c's now more than ever

They devalued the quad twist. Reward is not worth the risk.

Beautiful music by KM/MM, but just not all there. I actually really like that program. Pressure got to them.

I thought their international scores made them the clear favorites among the American pairs.

Internationally CG\L had a great fall season with 3 international Bronze medals and a close finish right behind K\F
in the GP series, Plus they aced Nationals while Brandon was dealing with Covid, So for sure there was a debate.

Bit of a step-out on the sbs 3T from Kirsten and shaky on the 3Twist, but strong spins and lift with a good save on the throw 3Lo. Death spiral had a LOT of speed too. Probably going to be slotted into 3rd for now.

Yes, but if you look at the scores K/F were far ahead. K/F had harder assignments.
