Especially none in the men's discipline, given Canada's long and illustrious line of male champions and stars, that would be awful.

Yeah... when you get very limited opportunities... the impact of any mishap is greater...
How disappointing for him. And frustrating!!
I liked their chemistry together, but I can understand why she would retire. Changing to a new discipline is hard, and it would take time to be released from USFS and then more time to qualify for funding from Skate Canada.
I did enjoy their short that they competed and I am glad that she did pursue pairs like she wanted to. Best of luck to them both.
Unfortunately when he withdrew from SCI, it meant that he no longer could be an alternate. It's part of the rules for withdrawals. Plus they filled the spot already.Roman

Does Roman have a chance for NHK slot? He did win a bronze medal back in 2019…. Maybe, that history will do him favours to be chosen. I just want to see him skate. I haven’t even seen his free skate.

I didn’t go to NHK thread. I thought I would get a rant update from @4everchan when Conrad wouldn’t be chosen.
So, today is a good day for our Canadian Men. No NHK slot for Conrad and no skate from Roman….. let me just cry some more

If Conrad came over here, he would see how much at least one fan (me LOL) is rooting for him
It's sort of weird to think how fans can be so invested in their skaters, and not just the superstars of the sport ! We are so dedicated !It's nice to see Roman with such a big grin on his face !

If Kaiya or Justine were sent to Warsaw, going by scores, they probably would have been in the fight to medal again. And after Kaiya's skate at SCI it is obvious she needs to get out to these events more to get her nerves under control. It would be nice to see how she has 'grown' after her SCI skate.
