2023-24 German National Championships

Day 1 of the Gernam Championships consists of the Pattern Dances. And, they are using the format I don't like. Both Intermediate Novice Pattern Dances, followed by both Advanced Novice Pattern Dances. We start with a group of 5 Intermediate Novice partnerships.

You know what. Since the French Championships finished so early in the day, I think I will watch today's action from the German Championships.

First time I've seen a TES Box in a Pattern Dance competition.

It has very big writing, which is good for making out what it says. But, it also means it is kinda taking over the screen.

Their team jackets are a real 90s throwback, we used to own race suits for cross country skiing in these pattern lol
 
Argh I missed most of the Salenbauchs because I had to reload the stream. They're both so much taller cpmpared to when I last saw them!
 
That's funny. I was singing along for most of the programme from Daria GORJATSCHEW / Luis NOTHARD (SAS), but it took me until it reached the chorus to realise what the song was! :laugh:

Didn't like the version they were skating to, though.

I thought exactly the same! They have both really shot up.

By the way, I had a big advert that took over half the screen appear during the Salenbauchs. Thankfully I was able to get rid of it quickly enough. But I hope that doesn't happen too often.

That's why it annoys me that you have to disable your adblocker to watch.

There again, the fact that they were skating straight after Victoria ABT / Alexander MÜLLER (NRW) each time probably didn't help. Those kids are tiny!

Now the three partnerships from Saxony are going consecutively to close out the competition.

I wish the livescoring page and / or the Time Schedule would also tell us what clubs they belong to as well as the Land. So that we know who are team-mates and who are not.

Just to answer my question, it appears that all three Intermediate Novice teams from Saxony are team-mates. At least, they all had the same coach sitting with them.

My goodness, that's a very young coach with the Kobors! :drama:

I think it was the aforementioned Alexander Müller, who just skated in the Intermediate Novice competition.

I take it the Kobors (and Abt / Müller) have the same coach as Rika UNRUH / Artyom SLADKOV (NRW). And since they are up next, their coach couldn't sit with the Kobors. So, their younger team-mate stood in.

Unsurprisingly since nobody else fell, Mia GIBBESCH / Lias LUFT (BAY) go into last position.

Day 2 starts by continuing the run of Ice Dance competitions. After yesterday afternoon's quadruple-bill, we have a triple-bill this morning. And it starts by finishing off the levels that were in action yesterday. First up, we have a group of 5 Intermediate Novice partnerships.

But, I'll not be able to watch today as I am concentrating on 4 Nationals.
