2023-24 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 4 - Kazan

Omg, Zonov was a dream in short too, loving him more and more with each skate. That tumble tho.... :drama:

I think the "fall" in choreo seq was a planning slide/fall. She also did that in test skates but it looks inconvenient and better removed

Nah it was way more controlled in the test skates. We all know what she meant to do but she just lost her balance and her arms gave out it seems like. Either way even if it was intentional it wasnt smooth so she deserved the reduction. But I think it looked good in test skates contrary to what most people think.

I wondered about this as well, I thought it might be choreo but actually it looked very very close to a real fall...

But actually, all choreo and step seq were quite off for Kamila today :frown: and as has been mentioned, quite uncharacteristically so

Slides are "easier" than some other choreographic movements, but they are also very risky. Even a hand down after a small loss of balance has to be counted as a fall per the official rules. 🤷‍♀️

And a choreographed fall has to look controlled, otherwise it's just a fall, even if the end result is the same 😬
