Nobody regrets that more than me. This would be the time I'd be preparing for my trip to Moscow. You have no idea how much I miss that. It was the highlight of my year and when I think about it, I'm properly welling up. I miss my mates

That's said, Eu will have strong everything save for pairs. Pairs are hopeless internationally.

I know for a fact that tests were positive and that different, honorable handling of that positive test would have resulted in me cheering for clean, honest Russian athletes in GP this year. The damage control was appalling. If they acted correctly, they would even have had their precious Valieva back into competition by now without blowing up acrimony. Saying sorry when you are in the wrong, and how do we fix it, is the right thing to do. Not beating one's chest and making things worse and worse by insisting the guilty party is some incredible and exceptional saint. So dumb. So damaging. So wrong.

Anyway, CAS allow her to skate. Reasons why are outlined by CAS. The lab really dropped the ball.

I'm kind of glad Kamila missed out I hope they don't appeal it. It looks bad. Especially when Sadkova is third.

If she took gold everyone would just rubbish her even though it was one of the great short programs minus a 3A in history. Maybe even if she took silver. And taking bronze would be kind of depressing.

I know what he means and I heartfelt wish it gets somehow resolved soon. But while that gets sorted, I'm really glad that as a foreign viewer I get to watch Russian competitions; Russian skating is very special and otherwise I would truly miss it.

For me, it's actually easier to watch Russian competitions than international ones (not geoblocked where I am, unlike the ISU ones). But that's also thanks to many people in this forum who provide vital links, schedules, etc. So I just felt like taking the opportunity to thank you all once again, I really appreciate it

The test was positive. Acknowledging that immediately and dealing with it as per proper procedure, eating a quick penalty would have sped up everything, and so it's their fault by waving the red flag in front of the bull and dragging out the matters to the point of some ideological struggle that keeps us from seeing the Russians after the IOC said it's up to individual sport.

Them complaining about ISU is hilarious in that light. Valieva is so, so, so not worth it, and her coach is even less so. There are many, many, many wonderful women in Russia. Plenty of great coaches. Schools.

But because of her all of them suffer and so are men, pairs and dance. So effing stupid it hurts.

They decided not to do it after consulting with the referees. What they wanted to argue was too difficult to prove.

Couldn’t agree more, this is the most skating I have ever been able to watch

I watch everything as well, but the overall quality is inferior when there is no cross-competition and when Russian don't skate live with their peers from abroad. And i watched CoR from the moment it was available, long before the jam hit the fan. It's just not the same, though, when I can't see Russian team in GP. Until they are there, and until Valieva/coaching team are taken to task for the damages done to figure skating, there is no justice.

But what is it with the victory sign (I guess it's that) on top of the skaters' heads? Where I'm from that gesture would mean a totally different thing

Muraviova with this stability and a stable 3A can win the Russian championship if Petrosian has a bad day, and Valieva is still a chance with her 4T.

Nah, they are just fooling around and being kids.
