Victoria Streltsova landed a 3A at the second stage of the Battle of the Schools!

She is 11 years and 5 months old, making her the youngest skater in history to land 3A in competition (domestic but still). She trains with Team Tutberidze.

Valieva looks in great shape. No wonder Adelia is feeling the pressure in a season she should be outright favourite.

Her whole skate was great! I would recommend to go watch it but unfortunately the stream got copyright struck.

Another girl that had a great day was Arina P who had the best skate of her career yesterday.

baby dont cry :(Its fine Masha, the results here dont matter:console: Just her being here is huge already.
Poor girl she is so young too.

That was very clean all around, not just the 3A. If anyone she reminds me a bit of Shcherbakova. Theres something intrinsically artistic about her, you can tell she will evolve to be a very elegant skater, and she is quite powerful though like Shcherbakova it seems she traded extension for that.

Shame that shes just a year off the age limit for grand prix.

Month ago, Nina Mozer said in interview before "Battle of Schools" that less children is being brought to fs schools this year.
Now Eteri confirmed it in Slutsky interview, saying there is less and less little girls enlisting lately.

It would make sense a lot of children dream about being Olympians but this is no longer an Olympic sport in Russia. I imagine also that the success over the last 10 years of Russian skaters inspired a lot more children to take up skating, but that level interest cannot be sustained indefinitely so there will be some decline from the peak. Plus it's a dying sport in general worldwide.

I look at Kamila's demeanour, I look at what Eteri curiously chose to divulge in her recent interview, media quiet, it feels like something has been decided already or she has reason to feel very confident about her future.

She seems thinner than at test skates (where she could only train for 1/3 weeks in the lead up), so she has prepared well. She does have a sweet tooth so maybe she has been avoiding the sweet foods ever since she got a small reprimand 6 weeks ago for eating a delicious ice cream.

This week is for deciding the colour of the medal that everyone will receive, which Kamila will of course have the opportunity to do come Saturday and Sunday at the Kazan GP.

I don't know if this week will be when we find out the ruling. Just theoretically the conclusion of the hearing. I would guess a decision wouldn't be immediately released unless someone failed miserably in the hearing

Yeah normally it takes few weeks to months for the final result to come out after the final hearing.

There are two questions to answer. Whether it is reasonable to expect the child to resist eating a delicious ice cream when it is handed to them. This is the easy part.

Now that they have answered the first question, they can now proceed with answering the second question. This gets murky Eteri alluded to reasons why. Anyway I have a pizza to eat. I order a pizza they say it will be there in 30 minutes or will be free, it arrives in 1 hour, I say I'm not paying for my pizza you took twice the time to deliver as you guarantee in your pizza shop code. But the driver says, you had to mark the pizza as being a high priority if you wanted the pizza within 30 minutes. Something about a flu spreading around the pizza shop. So now I've got cold pizza and out of pocket. I even called them up after 30 minutes asking where is my pizza and they promised it would arrived in another 5 minutes, but still they took one hour. I called them up to complain they just blasted me going to ban me from the store. The temerity of these people! Anyway, enjoy the rest of your day or evening just an anecdote from my life.
