I want better jumps for him too, but what he does have in presentation, you can't teach, and those spins

But better jumps = more comps, and I am all for that.

when he won nationals... he was pretty solid, 2 years ago... maybe he has issue adjusting to his evolving body? He is still a teenager after all.

Funny enough, the Patinage Québec site doesn't show the WD but the Skate Canada live scoring does...

Junior men free is about to start... and then i hop on transit to go to the rink

Rafael is still a work in progress, but he does have elegance in some of his movements. I also think the costume is the right combo of color, black and bling.

Julien has great spins, good skating skills and presence... needs the jumps... doubles aren't enough

Junior men at a local comp. Popping and falling, I don’t care as much.

Julien has presence and forcefulness, although he needs more refinement in his moves. I wish he had not chosen angsty junior men music, however.

I think young figure skaters need it it's part of the growth spurt

I think both these guys, if not already doing that, will end up in pairs anyway
