2025-26 Quebec Sectionals Jr/Sr | Nov 6-9

ouch... I really like MRS... I hope she does qualify based on the scores from her SP because the LP was pop galore...

Maybe she felt it : it is now snowing for the first time this season in Québec.

Was MMP using Rippon on every jump before ?

It makes her fliy vertically way high... but the timing is not perfect and the jumps don't land cleanly.

I don't know... I don't like it but she's a fighter.... and should get her Q.

MMP is disappointed but yeah... I guess it's the first time she could medal is it ? maybe the pressure got to her.

Julianne fought. She doesn't have a hugh margin over Justine from the short, so Justine may get the win here.

Julianne started well but why oh why do skaters still try 2a-3t... With the new rules they don't. and it's often not a successful jumping pass.
I guess that was engrained in them from a time when that was a requirement for Next Gen ?

Despite the mistakes here, this program was ambitious and had enough content for me to grant it first place because otherwise who is winning this ? I prefer It to be Julianne

This is the second competition I see Julianne have a great short and not deliver in the LP (Nationals).

I hope she can fix this because she is such a good skater. The jumps are light and beautiful when she does them well.

Bronze for Fee Ann.

Challenge entries from here should be (in addition to Sandrine Blais):
Justine Miclette
Aleksa Volkova
Fee Ann Landry
Julianne Lussier
Marie-Maude Pomerleau
Marie-Raphaele Savoie
Marie-France D'Amour
Jade Bouchard

Bronze for Fee Ann.
Is the silver lining for me :). Maybe she will be encouraged after returning with what seems to be a bad ankle injury (no lutz is often a sign)

If you had given me the task to submit 8 names from sectionals to go to Challenge, those are the 8 I would have provided but maybe not in this order :) The 3 Maries can do better for sure.

I don't think any of these skaters will receive an international competition based on this event.

Looking at the Junior Men, no one who needed the QMS looks to have gotten it here. So entries should be Schmidt, Legault and Pard.
Correction on this one. API listed Tommy Liu as one of their Challenge entries. I checked and he got the QMS at Invitation Estrie (small regional competition, I don't think it was streamed.)

Sandrine also skated the Senior version of her free here and scored 105.92.

I have been reading and watching the results for these women and wondering what happened to Kara Yun?
