Oh no, Denis Gurdzhi just withdrew because of injury. He looked very tentative in the warm-up.

Where did Lotfi come from? He looks quite good apart from camel spins, which are clearly not his preferred elements. A pity he slipped off the lutz landing edge.

Kai is going to be very happy with this skate and with the score he's going to get, I think this is the best he's skated all season.

Nikita has such a huge issue with his axis on jumps, and it's not getting better, not even the rippon seems to help him. Such a shame because he's otherwise a very well-rounded, elegant skater.

Audience getting rather rowdy during the Warm-Up, making banging noises / stamping their feet.

I wonder if it was for a particular partnership. Neither are representing Bavaria, so there is not an obvious favourite.

Actually, I just noticed that in each partnership, both skaters are actually from the Land that they are representing. Not often that that happens nowadays, that both partners are from the same region.

Well, the audience got rowdy again just after the Warm-Up ended, so I take it it is the first partnership, Letizia ROSCHER / Luis SCHUSTER (SAS), that they are getting behind.

Urgh, don't like this cover of "In The Air Tonight". Phil Collins' original is epic enough without giving it extra.

And I can't say that I like Letizia's top either. The silver part that made it look like she was wearing a bra on top just spoiled what would otherwise have been a lovely costume.

But, they were good!

And they are definitely getting a lot of support.

I adore Luis' flexibility, it's truly extraordinary even among partnered men.

The throw was one of their better attempts this season, they are having a lot of trouble with two-footing it, just unfortunate that Letizia popped the Axel, otherwise the score would have been a lot bigger.

I guess it's because pairs is really the only discipline in which Germany is currently internationally competitive, so they really deserve all of the love and support they can get.

I absolutely LOVED that programme from Annika and Robert.

BUT, you don't mess with ABBA!

Although, that said, the versions used were better than most ABBA covers you hear. So, I'm not complaining as much as I normally would.

This will be a big score. (I hope!)

H/K's 3LoTh is a thing of beauty

Maybe a bit cautious on the Twist today, but all in all, they're in great form for Euros I'm desperately hoping for a medal for them, they deserve it after all of the hardships they went through last season, and the unfortunate timing of the positive Covid test this season
