Nice final group plus Naoki rebound. Congrats to Adam on several counts. Beck proved that quality counts and he is, in part, self-choreographed! So much like Lucas Broussard. Wish the latter had stayed junior one more year. There was still room for growth before moving up!!! I fear he will drown in seniors and lose all momentum. Anyway for US a silver in pairs and two bronze - in dance and men. Nice work skaters! Women, well...same old.

A question: why are tiny young (just boys?) skaters called mushrooms?

I think it started with Shoma Uno who was so tiny on the podium nest to Yuzu. At times his hair was so thick it looked like a mushroom cap on his head. Unbelievably cute.

Yay, Hagara won! Other than that, Kim had a fantastic skate & imo Tian should have cinched bronse, but hey, it's Japan-free podium in men, so that is great already. I was also impressed early on by Sheiko. Glad Rossi pulled himself ahead, that was some gutsy performance, though it looks like he's struggling.
