I did notice the jumps! That's quality! The only other kiwi bro I knew - Harrison Bain had incredible spins, but jumps not so good. But wow, look at Yanhao!

Shame about the spins, I think they were pretty good in Bangkok though, so promising!

I put him in 3rd in my predictions, which may have been far to optimistic.

OMG Kryshtof has the old school inspired costume! I've never heard of him, so let's hope he does OK.

+COMBOs always get the BV of the first jump and -5 GOE applied to the BV of that jump, the tech panel just usually adds it after the skate and just marks it as invalid during the skate, for some reason

It's always been like that in the rules, you can see in past protocols. Missed combo in SP will get -5 GOE for the first jump, not completely invalidated.

I always find it weird that the Swiss system never reflects it properly in its tech box... clearly the Japanese system is superior here

7 Kryshtof PRADEAUX AUS - starts with gusto to catchy folk music. Music sings die die die and the first jump goes down. Once he figures out how to control his power, he could be a force. Only 15yo though skating two disciplines. Kudos to him. Very fun.

Also, Kryshtof and his partner are one of just three junior pairs I know of that is age-eligible for the Youth Olympic Games next year, and Australia is already qualified, so they should hopefully be there

Aha! So Kryshtof's Mum is a Czech skater! That explains why he is skating to a Slovakian band.

It's always nice to hear music from different countries, and in different languages, to what we are used to.

Fun programme. But, not clean.

8 Casper JOHANSSON SWE skates to autobiographical I didn't know my own strength. I liked this program first time out. Needs to bring his shoulders down. Enjoyable, but he struggles with some of the jumps but has a lot of tall body to maneuver.
