Thanks for the list!

I’m most excited to watch Lia Cho in Novice, Grace Johnson in Senior Ladies and Conrad Orzel in Senior Mens.
For me it will be the face-off between Matthew, superior in skating skills and jump quality but no quads... to Conrad who has the big jumps but needs some work and consistency

I usually go for skaters with better skating skills. But, in this instance, I’m rooting for the big jumps…. Conrad. Conrad has more potential and I need our “top two” men (Conrad and Romsky) to step it up.

For me, I guess it will be the face-off between, Grace 😜😝, superior in skating skills and jump flow quality of her two triple jumps, to Uliana who has all the jumps, but, needs work on her skating skills… 🫣

:) maybe Amelia has her jumps back...

regarding Conrad, he is my exceptional son... you know... i am all about skating skills first with big tricks... that's why I loved Patrick so much... but also Jeff, Jo Phan, Nic Nadeau was so promising... etc... but Conrad just wants it so badly and was wearing green the first time I watched him... and should have won that junior title over Gogo... :) but yeah... I adopted him and of course, I cannot wait to see how much he has improved with another spring/summer with Ravi... especially since Skate Canada bypassed him for wtt...

I had planned on watching Senior Men but the competition was close to an hour behind schedule. I think the problem was with the scoring system since I heard the announcer say that scores and ranking were not available. I'll have to watch the archives. Hope Conrad had a good skate.

The (new?) scoring system has been so buggy so far this season, hope they get it sorted out.
Hope Conrad had a good skate.
4S was under-rotated, but he stayed on his feet. 4T-2T looked good. Then doubled the axel. Still things to work on, but promising, about what you'd expect for August.

so yeah... the jumps were not perfect but stayed on his feet indeed... what I felt improved : spins and deeper edges... he seems to be less rough on the ice..

Conrad kept his Carmina Burana SP. My amateur eyes can see the improvement in his overall skating.. but it's too early to tell of course if it's going to be enough for Conrad to breakthrough this season.

Conrad is like a whole new skater since he changed to Ravi. I'm looking forward to seeing more as the season goes on!

Wow! Lia Cho did amazing in the short program! 49 …so close to 50. Great skating for a Novice girl. Good job 👍

Mhm, only 4 senior men there.
after SP: https://lamp.skatecanada.ca/alex/cssWebWidget.html?event=f6ffa70b-0641-4cf0-aaf6-29d3ecd43892

The three junior men were kind of funny for me, lots of "déja-vue moments". Costume wise and music wise. But the third missed his combo, that was new.

Not sure what to think of Carmina 2.0 so far. But it's early.
The long pause before turned the stream into Conrad fancam :ROFLMAO:
Could count the pearls on his costume haha

perhaps I should add a "fight for the triple toe"

and for completeness

Okay, too late now. Won't make it through the women, not junior and so definitely not senior.
In case the link changes, I'll be happy to find the archive linked here somewhere so I'll go through it tonight/tomorrow.
 :bed:
