There is no insult to the victim at all in this thread. There are concerns about how public funds may or may not have been spent. Skate Canada gets a lot of its funding through the governments and then, through skaters registration fees themselves. This is very relevant discussion and NOT at all related to the victim here. For those who don't know, Sports Canada is making a lot of changes to provide safe environment for kids in the light of a few other scandals that happened in the last few years. It's an important discussion for us Canadians.
If some of you are not aware of the Hockey Canada scandal, then maybe they need to know about it.

I am nowhere saying it's the same thing at all. Not at all. At the same time, it's relevant to raise some questions with how Skate Canada funded a team under such scrutiny. Of course, FBS may appeal the decision still. They have 21 days to do so.
I will leave it at that as we should focus on how our skaters competing this weekend will do !
