2024-25 Federation Cup Final

Lena won both the main competitions this season. Love that for her! Her programs have both improved a lot over the season, but, well, I won't be sad to see them go. Don't care for Margarita as a skater, but it's nice to see her looking better than at nats
Looking at the boys, Vadim would have won if he was clean in the short. What a shame, but at least he was able to redeem himself in the free

That men's event...

Well, German did well. He landed the 3A and two different quads even though he had no ultra-c jumps before this season. Just fix his spins.

She should be shown as an example of why the raising the age eligibility to 17 is complete BS. She is full mature skater.
The one really hurt by this rule is Mao Shimada-because she would probably win Gold w/out Russians-this Olympics. Instead she has to wait, and then probably compete with younger and better Russian skaters for the next Olys. A fair age would be 16.

Junior events are normally free except for Junior Channel One Cup and JNats. I only paid for a suburban train.
Wow, free for such a high level event!

The Russians will be there anyways

I did not know there was2024-25 Federation Cup Final - so i did not watch live, and then i saw junior competitions video pop up on youtube, at first did not understand and thought old ones, after i realized i missed. I watched Elena , she was so fantastics and what a very compact , dense program in 4 mins, as always -1 reduction for exceeding 4 mins. Nonetheless she is a very talented girl like Veronika Zilina - i hope she will continue and hope to see her in 2030 Olympics - in between if the ban on Russia is lifted, i wishe to see her in all international competitions.

Eteri complained on instagram about Lena beating Alisa :laugh4: there will be drama for days to come
should Lena have had higher pcs? Probably not, but given that there were no complaints about Margarita having higher pcs than Alisa last season, I can't take this seriously. Naturally, there would have been no such post were Lena one of her skaters

Lena is just something else. Just blows me away. Both MArgarita and Lena have music that is too big for them-Would love to see Lena do a Riverdance program maybe, but I hope next year they put more thought into her music. Think outside of the box!!!! (Like Inga has done.) I don't know what is going on with Arseny-but he isn't the same skater this year-seems to have lost his mojo-hope he gets it back next year.

Alisa is wonderful, and polished, but Lena brings a different kind of excitement. When Lena skates, she wants you to know she is a STAR and you better not forget it. She just brings something extra to the performance quality, and she makes you pay attention. Alisa-well, her FS is a bit dull and predictable. A better program would help (that is on you Eteri!).

You know, when I watched USnats and saw Bradie and Sarah's riverdance programs, I was thinking that Lena would absolutely devour a riverdance program. Maybe one day!

Catching up. From men, I think they all were impacted by skating on unfamiliar arena and post-nationals fatigue. RusFed does the right thing sending them around the width and breadth, and making them compete after nationals. I absolutely love Kolesnikov's jumps. So pretty. I hope Voronov would be able to return skating skills back with more difficult technical content. Also, I was hoping Lazarev wouldn't crush and burn this season, but unfortunately he did. Nationals was definitely a stronger event.

Lev, Arseniy, Eduard have already been there.
And that's good. Certainly could get use more of it.

Also, just got to Kostyleva's SP. Wow on popping first jumping pass, then just going 3A3T like a strong athlete she is. Nice!
