Maybe she'll use a different music cut that not everyone and their mama has used? Crossing my fingers.
Unfortunately no, she’s using A Thousand Times Goodnight from the 2012 ost. I really like that soundtrack though so I’ll be happy as long as there’s good choreo (fingers crossed)

Not sure if this has been brought up yet or not, but why is the "Fame" soundtrack considered 1970s when it came out in 1980? If they've chosen songs that came out earlier but just happen to be on the soundtrack, than I guess that's OK but from what I understand they can't actually do the song "Fame" itself so what's the point of choosing it. Am I missing something?

I went back to the Rhythm Dance rules 2024-25. They're allowing cover versions of songs, so it doesn't have to strictly be from those decades. If it's more styles that reflect the social dance, that might be the case? If it isn't, they should clarify that songs originally made after 1979 can't be used.

That's the issue with some of the social dance styles for decades, they don't stop when 1980 begins. Disco continued into the 80s, and it's one of the examples they gave.

We had this debate when we had the 1980's theme last seasson.

There are two different viewpoints of what constitutes a particular decade. Using the 70's (since that is the decade you mentioned), some people say it is 1970 to 1979. Others (like me) say it is 1971 to 1980.

The ISU are allowing both. Because last season (when the theme was the 80's), we had songs from both 1980 and 1990 used. For example, Darya Grimm / Michail Savitsky did an Electric Light Orchestra medley for their Short, and one of the songs they used ("No Way Out") was released in 1990.

Hope this clears things up.

Assuming short because of the 3-3 in the clip. Wondering who choreod for her since she was in Canada/at TCC for a week or so :scratch2: Very on brand for her though and looks cute so far!
