Yea, if only Valieva had the silky smooth slow of Sinitsyna. Maybe one day we will see such a combination. Does Sinitsyna have a better flow than Akateva, too?

Valieva probably came closer than anyone else but didn't quite reach it. I see Akatieva as a little different kind of skater. Maybe the only not-so-positive thing I can say about Chrustalniy in general is that that they are repeating in training too much, making the performances in competition look overly routine. It's not quite the same as what makes Ksenia special.

Adeliia says she is not as hard on herself anymore, and tries to be thankful for what she has and let some small mistakes go.

We know she used to have severe mentality issues and it seems she is overcoming them well suddenly. I suppose her age and development is not "delayed" like many claim.

Nightmare skate for Sinitsyna. She needs to focus tomorrow. Still, she will easily q for nationals anyway.

Tretyakova is only 10th. She probably needs 6th to q for Nats so important skate for her tomorrow.

She's 13 behind 5th, 5.5 behind 6th so it's going to be difficult.

I think there is a misunderstanding here. I cant help but almost interpret from the post that there could be a suggestion that "Valieva didnt quite reach Sinitsyna's flow". Could you elaborate or word things differently, so I can understand your point? Its not you, its me, I am just not understanding something for some reason. Just one of those things.

Sinitsyna deserved the composition score but thats about it. 8+ SS for two falls and 8 presentation for the most uninspired skate of her career meanwhile Doroshevskaya gets 6 for one of the most confident debuts I've seen.

I meant that Valieva didn't quite reach the level of a "perfect" combination of tech and artistic expression. When it comes to the pure aesthetics of the movement I would indeed put Ksenia a little bit higher than her, but mostly because of the routine effect I described above. I hope it's clearer now.

Shes only 5 points behind 6th and her BV is high. She could easily do it if it wasnt for Sinitsyna in the way. Unless Sinitsyna disaster skates its wraps. I think Tretiakova could qualify with 7th maybe? She has 8 points and 7th is 6. That makes 14 which was enough last season to sneak in. @Jontor

Falls do not impact skating skill--they can fall on every element but still show high quality of movement, deep edges, speed and flow in between. Pesentation is the score in PCS that is capped for anything that destroys the visual appreciation of the program (what cosntsitute such a mistake is at judges' discretion). Falls are penalized with negative GoE and additional reductions. I saw you previously ask for reducing SS mark for falls, and it is just not by the rules. Though you can always write an impassionate letter to the ISU

Wouldn't know, I am catching up on juniors, but I am fond of Sinitsina so if she had recieved a vote of confidence from the judges I hope she will deliver in the free.

Sarnovskiy really changed. Loved his kiss and cry. Also, the junior man with a hyphenated name and a coach with a fabulous and famous last name Chaadaeva, I wonder if she is a descendent ...anyway, he is quite a performer. I am hoping it is a not the beginning of the predictable joint and severe overtraining problems for Fedotov, but what are the chances it isn't?
