14/18 men have a total above 500.
5/18 men have a total above 550.
Only 4/18 men won a medal at both of their stages.

I haven't been able to watch most of the Men's skates from this and last week's stages, so I have loads of catching-up to do, but I'm glad to see Daniil made it again to Nats!!💪 Congrats to him, fingers crossed he will have clean skates there and be happy with his performances!

Too bad about Artem and Semion though, good vibes to them to keep moving forward!

Looking forward to Nats, it's going to be very exciting and I'm guessing not to be watched with a faint heart :p And I can see how I'm going to be quite emotionally invested in it. I had a look at the list and out of 18 skaters, they are 12 I'm personally rooting for to do well (and out of those, like 5 to do really well :)) Let them all medal! :points:

What was she saying after the short program? In the kiss and cry..
I went back and rewatched just for you

Some of what she said is inaudible over Anna talking and the music

But she did say something like " What even is this? How many times have I fallen already? How many times is this gonna happen? What do I have to skate the program 10 times per training session? Do I need to do 10 trainings now? I just dont understand."

Then at the end she said "I jump this all the time" implying she doesnt understand why it doesnt work in competition.

And you can imagine those words through tears of course.

In the FS she seemed pretty relaxed. Like I said earlier I think all this falling is just giving her experience to deal with emotions. She basically admitted its a competition thing and not a form thing in that SP K&K I just quoted.

She'll be fine by finals I think as long as the technique (3A) is there. Then again having not jumped it in forever it could bring a new wave of competition hesitation.

I think its amazing though how 95% of the time that these users here condemn girls on sight for a couple bad skates, they get proven wrong, but find a new target anyways. Even this season for example Petrosian & Gorbacheva proved everyone wrong, and everyone is praising them, and admitting they were wrong/humbled, yet now in the same exact moment they're all back to clowning the two Sofias saying they're out of the podium. Sports fans really operate on genius level. Whatever...

Thank you so much for the translation!

I only watched pairs for seniors, saving the rest for next weekend that is otherwise devoid of skating. I really want B/K to skate this free program clean in one competition. It is ambitious and really interesting! Huge grats to M/G for delivering a wonderful skate. Also, I can't choose between Kadyrova/Mironov and Mukhortova/Evgen'yev in terms of the duo I want to succeed the most after B/K. So, let the fate do its thing!

Can I just say, it's so annoying to me that Mura had to justify her reaction to being in 4th place...she obviously was not smiling about Akatieva's failure, and the only people who thought she was were crazy stans who won't change their minds no matter what she or anyone else says :palmf:

And on the topic of them, it's sad to see them struggling, but this is just a difficult period that they need to overcome. Akatieva is dealing with a new body and recovering from an injury. No one should have expected her to be back to her old form so soon. Muravieva is also dealing with growth/injuries/sickness, and in general, nerves. But I do believe they can both overcome their hardships

The audacity of Murav'yeva to cry/smile/emote anything! This is Sparta Russia! Neutral stone face only.

I just saw her post about the "situation", were people really upset with her for that? The Russian community does kinda dislike Muravieva in general.

I dont think she is dealing with growth/injury, but sickness perhaps still affected her at this stage just cause she didnt have enough time to train hard. Again she straight up admitted its nerves/competition. Thats like the best case scenario for her I dont know why everyone wants her to be injured or something. There were rumours of injury but she said they're false.

I did see a good amount of people being ridiculous about it, unfortunately 😬
I don't necessarily think people want her to be injured, though, I suppose in some ways, a physical injury might be easier to overcome than the problem being mental 🤔. I actually forgot she denied the injury rumor. Definitely good that it was fake news. But yea, it's obvious that her problem is mostly nerves, and I do hope she can overcome them eventually.

Gorbacheva truly skated the lights out this competition. I am still not sure I like Murav'yeva doubling down on swans, but her performance manages to captivate me so I really hope to see her in good health soon.

And, of course, Mozalev had to step out of his opening 4S, and, of course, that impacted him. Dikidzhi is a sweetheart and has such a positive energy. Glad to see Ah-liev thriving this year.

I am watching free dance now, with Shichina/Drozd appealing with their costuming, though the choice of music is so bland for everyone so far, it is getting boring.

Overall, i liked Leont'eva/Gorelkin more than the rest, but not overly impressed. Looking forward to the Nationals.
