2024-25 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 5 - Saint Petersburg

I don't know if she's fine, but I also can't say if she's not fine based on the fact that she's crying based on her history of crying even if she did well.
We already had a whole discussion about it last season I'm pretty sure, where I talked about how I can relate to Sofia a lot because my brain is just wired in a way where I cry about every big emotion I'm feeling - Sadness, happiness, relief, anger, ... Hell, I've probably cried over more books and movies than I could count.

This is what you wrote after the SP at the Moscow GP stage about Sofia back then (She was in 2nd, despite falling on the 3A):
"Nevermind you were right she started crying later in a different interview. She was crying the whole time for like 3 minutes. She wasnt even upset over anything specific she was just insanely overwhelmed with nerves. One of the most nervous athletes I've ever seen in my life. She wasnt even really answering questions she kind of would just start mumbling fragments of sentences about random stuff. 🤣 I respect it though because most athletes will take something for nerves before competition but clearly she just wants it to be all her."
Yea, and I still feel that way. Did I ever make fun or put her down for crying? Problem is she is also having huge trouble on the ice, so seems like something is getting to her. You could be right that shes just getting unlucky and thats what I always said but this time the pattern is developing a lot more. Also the fact that she skates amazing in the trainings adds to the suspicion that there is something up with her competition mental. We can stay optimistic but there is something to consider. Well, I almost said nobody is condemning her, but thats not true, but I'm not. Were pretty much on the same team here I am just discussing both sides more. She also cried for 2nd that time cause she fell on a 3A and it was 2nd stage - this time it was no falls on first stage same as last year pretty much.

So that means that Bityushkova is the one to beat. Should be no problem for the remaining skaters.
It should be.

But I'm happy for Yana. She is capable of a lot for a skater from a non-FS city. Nice to see her showing that at the big events.

Yes, she really has been a surprise. He skating looks unpolished, but she lands the jumps so she gets the technical points.

So where'd Kiseleva lose so many points? I didnt think she UR'd that much or anything im confused.

Well done Paramonova great recovery I thought it was going to fall apart for her but fought to the end.

Every time I see Fursova I just think of her team mate Kshetskaya who didnt make finals, and then I get sad.
