Yahli Pedersen and Benjamin Starr have been added to the ISP, so there's the final confirmation of their partnership.
I'm guessing they will get at least one of the remaining JGP assignments.

The Browns and Flores/Desyatov were assigned to Denis Ten Memorial.

The Peals and Ilin/Cain were assigned to the last JGP in China. Wolfkostin/Tsarevski and the Mullens are in a good position to qualify for the JGP Final after earning silver medals at their first JGP. It will be interesting to see how many US teams will be at the JGPF. The Peals will be competing this weekend in Thailand.

Neset/Markelov and Morozov/Chen will be competing in Lombardia this weekend as well.

I'm glad to see that Flores/ Desyatov were finally officially given the Skate America tbd! They certainly deserved and earned the assignment! It was actually a wrap after the Lake Placid results, but not publicly announced till a few days ago. Initially, it had seemed to me that U.S. fed was trying to maneuver for Moro/Chen to get SA, but that wasn't the case. Still, I think U.S. fed is doing everything in their power to help and to favor Moro/Chen so that they can have every opportunity to develop together in their first season.

Good luck to F/D at Denis Ten Memorial and at Skate America!!! 🥳

Congrats to Neset/Markelov for their showing at Lombardia! Mistakes were made but a good performance just out of the gate.. Love the FD! They are tough (remembering when Leah skated almost a full junior season with a broken wrist). Really looking forward to their next outing..

Hey, can someone clarify the rules regarding byes to Nationals? Isn't it the case that if you are assigned to just one senior GP and a couple of Challengers that you automatically receive a bye to U.S. Nationals?

Or getting 2 GPs and one or two Challengers suffices, right? I previously thought that as soon as a U.S. skater is assigned a GP, they have an automatic ticket to Nationals. But is the rule now that Challengers must also be assigned, along with at least one GP?

It's three international assignments - GP, JGP or Challenger.

Maybe a niche question, but does anyone know how PCS factoring works for pattern dances at the Novice level at domestic competitions in the US?

Internationally, TES and PCS*0.93 are just added up, but that's not the case in the US. It's not a different set factorial either, as often skaters will lower "raw" PCS get less added to their TES to make up the TSS. 🤔

Looking for some inside scoop on Green/Parsons. 2024-25 programs? competitions?
I remember reading their RD is Boots are Made for Walking and Austin Powers. I can't remember the name of the FD music, but Jean Luc choreographed it. They're assigned to the later events of Nice, NHK, and China to give Michael the longest possible time to recover from surgery. Reddit rumors say the recovery is slow and they may have to withdraw. Apparently Bratti/Somerville are in a similar situation, but who knows.

The Junior Grand Prix has come to a close with the Peals winning JGP China and securing a spot in the JGP Final, and Ilin/Cain scoring their best ever finish on the JGP in fourth place. The Mullens and Aboian/Veselukhin are the first and second alternates for the JGP Final, and is a bit unlucky for both teams, as they could have definitely qualified in different fields or events.

Budapest Trophy has also come to a close with Carreira/Ponomarenko notching a win and Bratti/Somerville finishing in a strong second place after a summer of injury.

Skate America starts next week, where we will see the season debut of Chock/Bates, with Neset/Markelov and Flores/Desyatov making their Grand Prix debuts.

Bratti/Somerville and Wolfkostin/Tsarevski are on the entry list for CS Tallinn Trophy. Interesting that WT appear to be doing a half junior half senior season. Tallinn Trophy is also only a week before the US Ice Dance Final, so it appears that WT will probably skip that event. They have a bye to Nationals anyway with their qualification to JGPF.

Interesting and thanks for pointing out- had not realized the W/T split between two levels
