Lake Placid concluded this past week with the Browns in 2nd, Pate/Bye in 3rd, Neset/Markelov in 4th, Flores/Desyatov in 5th, Morozov/Chen in 9th, and Pham/Spiridonov in 11th on the international senior side.
On the international junior side, Aboian/Veselukhin won, Wolfkostin/Tsarevski in 2nd, Mullens in 3rd, Peals in 4th, and Ilin/Cain in 5th.
USFS added Aboian/Veselukhin, Morozov/Chen, Pham/Spiridonov, Cui/Rogers, and Stapert/Korotcov to the ISP after Lake Placid.
I would expect Flores/Desyatov to receive the Skate America host spot after their strong performance here. Stapert/Korotcov may get a JGP with their addition to the ISP. The top 5 at Lake Placid International in the junior event are certainly going to be receiving two assignments each (Mullens have already received their first one), which leaves 4 spots left (of which Deych/Hu already have one). I can see a scenario where USFS gives the remaining three spots to Renzi/Lissauer, Stapert/Korotcov, and Epps/Gilman, the three other junior teams on the ISP.
