Well, the program is miles better than "Sex Bomb", although that's not saying much. The music cuts and voiceovers are slowly killing me inside, but the program is fine, they still need some PCS work but I see more of an effort and connection here. Everything at the end just felt kind of laboured and effortful though, I wonder if there was an injury in the off-season or they haven't had as many run-throughs as they would have liked. The throws and SBS jumps were really lovely.

...four points higher on PCS than Hocke/Kunkel... I swear these judges need to stop caring about the floods

Honestly, I would leave out the rando shouts from the soundtrack. Otherwise, as reliably clean as always. I would have said well done, but with them I can't until the score comes up?

So... did we really need Keira Knightley screaming "Will!! Look at me!!!" in the middle? Solid tech and standard PotC program, I didn't get much from it but I am extra grouchy this week

Great skate from the Hungarians. You can see that they have been working on the performance side of things. A year ago, that music would have completely drowned/overpowered them.

Really, there was nothing even remotely pirate-y about that.

I want to see them sucked down into the whirlpool of hell, as Neset/Markalov did. I am forever spoiled by that

Hmm, I dunno, this pair is missing the it-factor for me. Somehow they manage to make even a pirates program seem bland. I liked the SP miles better.

If anyone can do POTO well, it's this team, who always bring the drama and performance. Overall, the program looks far more polished than the teams we've seen previously, and the lifts were really fantastic today, but obviously the SBS jumps will hurt their score.

POTO, well G/A are going to war this season. Second half was much better than the first, the elements and the choreo both.

The crowd loved that! Rebecca stayed on her feet, but the jumps could still be costly. Doubles aren't enough at the top level.

They had my hopes up after yesterday, after managing to bring some full-throttle crazed new life into Moulin Rouge, but my hopes were dashed, as this was same-old, same-old
