2024 Skate America Pairs SP

Come now, El, we know you still have those pink leg warmers and headbands in the back of your closet

Indeed:laugh: But never was that tune, whatever it was, on the playlist while I was stepping it out with the others....

Well, here of course for the last one of the first group. The Georgians had great technique and were even projecting and performing, but as someone who lived through the 80s, what did the workout clothes have to do with the tune that I had never heard of?

Yeah, the outfits didn't match the music, other than it was an 80s tune. I think it depends on the country as to whether or not it was known. "Why" was a top 10 hit in a number of European countries. It didn't chart in the US.

Personally, I'm not a fan of it.

5. Anastasia VAIPAN-LAW / Luke DIGBY 🇬🇧
Lighthouse by Patrick Watson, choreo by Christopher Dean

3Tw2 (bit low but looked clean on the catch)
2A
4Li4
3STh (really nicely done, just a long setup)
BoDs2
StSq3 (a little slow through some of the turns, and a little out of sync and far apart at times)
CCoSp4 (great unison)

SP: 61.31 (6th) PB

I'm so excited to see the success of Anastasia and Luke because Team GB has started out the season quite strong. Hopefully they will have enough points to qualify for the Olympic Team Event (qualifications will be determined after the GP Final). They, too, have improved a lot during the off-season. Their throws are huge. The only thing really holding them back is just GOE and their SBS BV.

I don't know if El will admit to that! LOL I can't, but I can admit to owning a large number of those colored rubber bracelets that were big in the 80s. Madonna wore the black ones back in the day.
