That may have been interstellar but it wasn't quite stellar.

Am always surprised this soundtrack isn't used more - but the bits selected are not my favourites.

For those who have questions about Sota, one jump can cost someone a podium spot. That would have been his 4T. It was so poorly rotated with the fall, that it was actually downgraded. Normally, a well-executed 4T will give a guy about 12.5 points. Sota got 2.52. Yes, losing 10 points on one jump is a big deal. He also under-rotated his 4S, but it was the 4T that cost him a medal.

These lyrics really speak to me. I'll have to learn them so I can sing along by Nationals and do karaoke to this song at our VFW holiday party.

My personal fav is “So I sharpen my teeth, 'cause I love the way it feels”. Makes me laugh every time!

I was in the arena and loved Ilia’s performance and he *did* perform. It was campy and the (heavily edited) lyrics made it even better. Ilia had the entire audience in the palm of his hand from beginning to end and we all struggled out of our blankets (rink was freezing) to leap to our feet the same time he collapsed to the ice. It was a moment!

More impressive was his tech ability; seriously unmatched by any other skater. His jumps were huge with little setup and he filled the ice surface. Never thought I’d be this impressed!
