2025 Four Continents Pairs Free Skate

Well, it's a work in progress. At this early stage in their partnership, and at this early stage in Audrey's Pairs career, you can't expect everything to go right all of the time.

But, we can see that there is potenial. And with more experience, they will be there.

That they are even at a Major Championship at this stage of their journey together shows how promising they are.

Awww, poor Audrey crying. 😭

:ghug:

They go into 2nd position in both the FS and overall.

He can lift if nothing else and they have charm, may everything work out for them

Meanwhile the people behind me are new to pairs if not fs in general, they clap for literally everything. I can get through that but lord not off beat clapping while the skaters are doing their pair spins... :dbana:

Maybe trying to offer some encouragement, as in, we see you struggling, but there are still some things to celebrate?
That is all good and well, but they clapped as they were changing from camel to upright (I think) which was odd. But now I have realized that they are very new to pairs if not figure skating
actually, at Canadian Nationals, fans were clapping when skaters got up after a fall at times... so yeah... encouraging fans exist :)
The audience here claps for landed jumps, falls, pops, botched lifts, basically everything. Encouragement is fine, just do it at the right moments

Wow, really tough to watch. :/ Audrey kind of looked like she was about to cry midway through.

A few days ago, I was watching the Haabersti Cup, and one of the programmes was really traumatic to watch. The skater got flustered after her first element, and started crying. And didn't stop crying for the rest of the time we saw her. She continued on but after she fell on her second element, the crying intensified and she wanted to leave the ice, but her team told her to continue.

She was the first of three skaters from the same team skating back-to-back, so her coach was away seeing to the other skaters. Instead, a couple of older team-mates and a younger team-mate were sitting with her. So there she was sitting there bawling her eyes out, and these two older girls were futtering away on their mobile phones paying her no attention whatsoever. And the younger team-mate didn't know what to do.

As I said, it was traumatic to watch.

I don’t see any chemistry between these two….
It was a mistake in almost all the elements.
This is the first time I watched them perform…..
😞 🫣
they were so good at Nationals . This was just a fluke or nerves. They'll do better nexttime.

Oh right damn I have to listen to E/M's dreadful Je Suis Malade live...

Announcer still cannot pronounce 'Loucas Éthier'

So far all I've thought is - who on earth chooses the music. Geynish and Chigrev's music particularly awful - and they could be skating to anything. Music is such an integral part of it for me.
