I think her foot grazed the ice on the throw landing but otherwise fantastic, top 3 skates were (in starting order) K/O, P/M, and M/K

those toe loops were iffy... unsynched, far from one another and perhaps Q for Riku

the lutz throw was a good save.. she nearly touched down with the free foot...

but the intensity of this program suits them and they are so fast.

I'm so glad to see Riku landed her sbs 3T. She's been struggling with that jump all season and it looked like a mental block thing for her. Out of sync yes, but at least not popped or stepped out

just enjoy this... a small medal is good for them. in the free, they have 4 elements they need to nail and it's never guaranteed, especially those throws... they could fall down to 4th or 5th easily.

Shae Lynne's choreo really suits them in that program. I always worry about Ryuichi's back in those lifts!

Are we SURE that Max is 100% recovered from his illness, which AFAIK has still never been specified?

Someone in the arena: Please take a photo of the kiss and cry - or if you're watching on your computer, take a screen capture. Then send it to US Figure Skating to show them what a kiss and cry could look like if they expended a bit of effort and wanted to show some pride in their event. Ahem.

I finally decided the display was showing a sample of Korean culture, because I really wasn't getting the point of the pile of books until I figured they were representing knowledge or literature. Otherwise you start to wonder: "Do they think a skater or coach sitting there wants something to read while waiting for the marks?" or: "Maybe it's copies of the ISU rulebook, if someone wants to register an objection right away?"
