Yo is such a delightful performer and she has such good skating skills as well. The jumps looked a little squirrelly but she wrestled them under control tonight.

Wow.Great work with music. It felt like this program is really huge for her personally.Nice one Takagi

Nice skate, Yo-chan!
She delivers this program with so much dedication and passion

Keep it up in the FS!

Mai Mihara's interview after SP:

"Today, when I took my first pose and the music started, I was listening to what David (Wilson) said to me and the piano, and I was able to think back on all the things I've done up until now while skating. Before I knew it, I'd landed the double axel.

I was able to skate while concentrating hard and reflecting on all the things I've done, and I got the usual extra points on my flip.

My instructor also told me, 'Your flip was good,' so I think I'm making progress little by little. I'm very disappointed, but I was very nervous, and I was able to turn all the cheers into power and skate, so I'm really grateful to everyone who supported me."

she lost around 5 points off of the combo call

Another solid skate from Mei, her jumps did look a little squeaked out so I expect that tech score to drop but she has done well delivering under pressure yet again. I really like her range of movement in the step sequence, it's very complex choreo that is well-executed, but she still has room to grow as a performer.

:( I love that Saiki has a unique program construction, and she skates very maturely for being just 14. She has nice deep edges in her steps, but unfortunately the jumps weren't working for her tonight :(. Go watch her at Junior Nationals, she was fantastic there.

Not a good competition for my 14yr old kids :cry2:

Saiki almost always nails her 3Lz3T...most of her jumps actually~

Oh well, like Hayato she has a lot of potential and time to improve~

Better them not making the FS cut than a skater with more to lose

Aww bb girl don't cry~

Alright, now that the girl I wanted to watch is done I'm out

jk~

Actually, I'm kinda bummed...Saiki's FS is really good
