These two have an interesting backstory - They were both singles skaters and decided to try ice dance together, if I understood Linichuk's post right.

They're very raw, still need time to transition from singles to ice dance.

more like teenage dirtbag I was back then, althoug for some reason they always made me to be Mel C on talentshows

Elena's hair are very 90s... and so is that fluo green

It's such a simple costume, but it is so on point and effective. I really like it.

Aleksei could do with a little bit of colour in his costume, rather than just plain black. Even just a belt or a collar that matches Elena's top would make all the difference.

Don't know the song at all, but they were good.

Never came across them before, but I now like them.

They go into 3rd position.

And her sister and brother-in-law, Ira Demirova and Andrei Lutai, are now coaching quite a few of my kids - Marilena Kitromilis, Varvara Abramkina, Chiara Hristova, Vayana Hristova (before she switched to Pairs this season).

Oof, another loss of balance on a slide. It's so tough because any bobble in a slide has to be counted as a fall.
The levels won't help their score either, which is unfortunate, because they are a fun team, well-matched with nice lines.

I really liked that. Not the most talented technically but they are performers and I like how committed they are to the styling.
