2025 Kinoshita Group Cup Free Dance

Hmm I really thaought the Americans would have this in the bag. Vadym is a very good skater. His edging and glide. Good for the Canadians who seemed to be going down. Maybe the most interesting thing is that Canada's current third dance team was so far behind the former French team. Its early but that would be a reversal of fortune.

Emilea ZINGAS / Vadym KOLESNIK USA dressed in black start to the sound effect of bombs? They then continue with a somber R & J by Prokofiev. The bombing sounds continue. I feel the R & J story is the story of lovers who die in a bombing and is an ode to modern day Ukraine.

This is me guessing because I know he is from Kharkiv and has had family and no doubt friends lost in multiple bombings. His family lost their bakery and he had a young cousin pulled from the wreckage of an apartment building. They may be thinking of the world stage and a chance to tell their story.
That was his nephew and sister in-law who were pulled from their bombed out apartment.

Just want to say that Utamasa skated the Turandot ice dance program I have always dreamed about... I really hope for a miracle to happen and they can qualify to the individual dance event at the Olympics, but I guess they will be there for the team event.
If only JFS had sent them to more comps in last two years they wouldn't need any miracle to happen. All of other non-top10 teams were doing tons of challengers, santa claus cups etc. meanwhile teams from Japan: one challenger, invitational NHK spot, sectionals, nats and then major championships with the expectation they would do well there with little ranking points and zero politication. I don't know how JFS want to develop ice dance with this approach, perhaps they don't want OG team medals at all. All the talent and potential is there. This year they send one team to junior grand prix and waste other spots. Last year also wasted spots while having teams. Ayumi and Tomoki's free dance would be a true hit but I guess international audience won't even have a chance to see it. Sorry for this OT but this is so annoying what they do.

Also, UtaMasa, get those levels kids! Qualifier is in two weeks, grab those points.
Not sure about costumes. Turandot screems for outstanding ones.
