agreedDo I think RIYBE was the best choice my darling could've made? No.
it was a fabulous rendition of that awful piece of music...Do I think he does a hell of a job with it? I sure do, look at that step sequence I literally held my breath through its entirety..
it's fine for now... but by GP season, if he is not comfortable with the 4t, why not just bring the 3lz-3loop back. His glorious 4S was glorious and would have received a lot more GOE without the 3t on the end of it... So even with a 4t in there, I doubt it's the highest possible scoring path for him. On top of that, he is not going to need a PCS bonus for a second quad when he has this exotic combo and that wonderful program and skating skills.. And he landed his 4S-3T, the 4T is always a bit of a gamble so for his first season outing I'll definitely take it. Just let him stay healthy without damage to his precious, precious ankles...
Just want to be clear, whenever I speak about the Japanese Men and their "superior pain meds" I'm being sarcastic6. Sota Yamamoto

Japanese painkillers, y'all...Best in town! Dangerous but extremely effective in the moment
Thank you so much for all your hard work!@tsuyoboogie did you see the rewatch for this event? I know how frustrated you were with the stream freezing. Some of the skates you missed have been found for a short term fix of what you were unable to see live. Enjoy!
I love your uploads and use them to keep up with skating in Japan. I provided what I found as a backup for your postings just in case something went wrong and so you could get caught up quickly for today. See you in the threads for the next part of the event now off to get a few hours of sleep.Thank you so much for all your hard work!
So grateful for all the time and effort you dedicate to compiling and sharing so many links!
I managed to rewatch and record the entire event as soon as I got home from work
Not sure if anyone will be interested at this point but I'm going to post links to video of entire warmup groups like I did for the Women's SP (mostly for consistency's sake...my OCD kicking in)
Hope that'll be okay with you
Yay!Jimmy had a time violation -1
He had no Qs, levels were 1-2-3, so mostly PCS work and no major problems. A good short that he can build on @moonvine.
There is a rewatch and @tsuyoboogie has other linksI wish I had known there was a stream. At least my fiance is in the final group to free skate.
He did well. Back in control.I wish I had known there was a stream. At least my fiance is in the final group to free skate.
Jimmy had a pretty impressive slay count eh? From starting first.
Gracie said Sonja takes an entire block of practice time just to practice all her spins, maybe these guys should follow suit.Maybe it's unpopular opinion but if all of this Japanese guys (Yuma aside) have worked on their spins in last three years rather then getting injured and messy by quicky and forcefully adding another quad they would be getting more points in their programs right now (both in TES and PCS). I've seen so many points lost in the spins like a plague (levels, quality, overall impression impact). I say it as a big fan of those boys, love all of them.
