It's Lake Placid, it's always cursed. Last time we were here during an Olympic season, we had two shoulder dislocations and a mid-ice withdrawal. There were also flies dying on the ice. There was a bird in the rink today, and who can forget the most iconic Lake Placid event of them all, when Andrei Lutoi stole a car from a service station while drunk, drove it around, promptly got arrested, held with $100,000 bail, and was abandoned by the Russian team in jail.

It's been cursed since Tai & Randy...
That said I love Lake Placid. I always skated my best there and my worst at home.
