I did the same... I had them in first but changed it... and I did worse I think I also put the germans lower in favour of home ice advantage for Chan and Howe in my last version.. I think I changed mine 10 times and every time, I did a little worse

so my advice would be...

do your picks once and leave them alone

the twist is often first because it's the craziest and scariest element for them all.. no matter how good they are....

the Chinese teams who did put the jumps first probably were trying to hide them from the judges . LOL

I think that twist is the most difficult element for coordination of both skaters so most pairs prefer to do it first

Gorgeous skate, Emily and Spencer! Their emotional interpretation and absolute unity with the music and the program's intention. I love their skating so much. Emily did so well on the jumps, too bad about the throw, that she usually does so well.

But I'm all about the sport that combines sport with artistry. I'm so proud of them! They were both completely present with each other in this skate.

That was much better than I exprected from Chan/Howe after what I saw in the practice and considering they must be still tired and drained after NHK.

That should only boost their support from USFSA for that Olympic spot. I really don’t think any of the other US teams aside from K/O with citizenship could have scored higher than them. Their FS here under extreme exhaustion due to back to back events and flying from Japan produced a higher score in the FS than what both S/N and L/B scored in the FS at the Ice Challenge in Austria.

Karina & Nikita have such a lovely way about them and this program is quite charming.

She was open about having recurring panic attacks after a bad fall . She's very brave to go out there and skate and Nikita is very supportive.
