Hana has been struggling so much with the jumps this season, but she's kept a smile on her face and a positive attitude throughout. She had a rough runthrough in practice, and that continued today with some parts of the free program, but she finally landed the 3A! She'll have some carrots too, and she had some silly mistakes on the choreo sequence and her change combo spin, which will hurt her score, but I think this program represents progress for her and I think her attitude has been really admirable this season.

Can I just say I adore shakuhachi music, I was introduced to Riley Lee's at a concert in the 90s and have collected quite a lot.

When Hana landed that beautiful 3A(q) I thought she was going to have a blast of a program, but alas it didn't eventuate

Phew, what a heartbreaker. The program would be an real smasher if she could stay clean. And I don't understand the music cut from Japanese to European, it ruins the beautiful theme.

I am being mean, but I noticed yesterday how the camera keeps abruptly switching from the emptier side of the seating to the one with more people and I am glad no one can hear me laughing.
