2025 Skate to Milano Men's Free Skate

so exporting skaters that qualify and importing skaters that don't qualify
Germany qualified in Ice Dance, so on par in terms of qualifying (Asaf is half-Russian, half-German, as in he spent his Novice career in Russia and his Junior and early Senior career in Germany). And even though I love Julia, I don't think she would have skated for as long as she did under the German flag. Not with Nicole Schott's long career.

Nargiz didn't qualify but she was at least allowed to be here (and has Worlds minimums). I don't even think the German fed would have allowed her to come here if she was still representing Germany. (Just like they didn't allow the only German Jr pairs with Jr Worlds minimums to compete at Jr Worlds last season because they didn't score high enough for their standards.)

I'm out of loop. Russian skaters can now compete under ISU?
no.. the IOC imposed their participation for the games... ISU came up with a bunch of crazy rules... so only a couple athletes will make it... no pairs, no dance... no team. but Russians won't be on the GP nor worlds

Can the judges hurry up for the scant remainders of my sanity

I was half joking.. but it seems that Canada is not the only Fed having weird ideas :)

If we're already going to do that, let's talk about the Jr Women's field (who don't factor into the Olympic spots, but would have into the Team qualification as there are no German women on the Sr GP), because, quelle surprise, both of the girls on the JGP this season are German (and the two alternates are German and Ukrainian), Hocke/Kunkel are also both German (Germany does have two pairs spots). And so are the Ice Dancers (who have qualified for the Olympics).

(There are also Sr Women (who are German, mostly), but none were sent here. Half of them have been injured recently.)
none of the eligible for seniors women has the technical score to go to the worlds, only one to go to the Europeans. So when it comes to Olypics 2026 there is no german woman
