2025 World Championships Men's Short Program

Incredible Ilia, 64.21 TES in the short is mind-boggling and he performed outside of the jumps really well too. And it looked like he wasn't even pushing himself all that hard.
I agree that he actually looks quite slow... I just want to see one crossover or holding of a nice pure Eege so you can really examine their quality in the same way that you can do with Kagiyama.

Just watch the two back to back and you can see the incredible difference in the edge quality - whether that's takeoffs, landings, overall speed, use of the knee and ankle, all that stuff that people don't really realize are what make up good skating skills. Kagiyama has it and Malinin does not, although he has tons of other qualities in spades

I spoke too soon!!
I actually can’t believe Ilia scored 46 in PCS. I like him. But, I guess we are in USA 🙄

However, Yuma was glorious and if PCS was awarded correctly, they should be close. If Ilia is 46 in PCS, Yuma should be 48

Beautiful program but I think that unless he starts adding harder jumps he not going able to catch Ilia and soon Misha that is just the plain facts.
