Mostly music choices. The music chosen these days doesn't offer enough variety for interesting choreography, most programs feel like uninspired exhibition programs. Many programs have a similar vibe. No one skates fun programs anymore. Then there are slow spins, gangly skating, lack of expression, uncreative step sequences...

100%! I was just saying that yesterday when it came to Levito's program, and how although she's not my favorite skater, it was refreshing to hear quality classic music being used that wasn't the same generic emo Ambience music, or generic female ballad, or that sort of thing.

I was just thinking that I wish there was less vocal music and skaters went back to finding more unique music as they did in the days when vocals were prohibited. More variety in music in those days when there was no YouTube and Spotify, and you just had to go through a million cds! Really skaters have no excuse not to have more unique music choices. Do you remember Jeffrey Buttle in 2008 it's getting to ararat? We need programs like that!

The level 2 step sequence and level 3 spins did hurt Sato though. I was captivated by his skate otherwise.

I'm a huge Shun fan. He's got everything except for a lot of confidence. ( Maybe he can steal some from Ilya). Nice program although not as good as he can be.
