There were mistakes but I love to watch Kaiya, she's so engaging. I see the progress with her jumps, it just needs time to put it together in the long program,.

Pretty from Kaiya, but a lot of errors. I can see improvement with all the reworking she has done of her technique.

Sad for Kaiya She'll definitely drop some places after this skate. I guess this will be the end of her season :/

And despite that, she still drops below Fee Ann and will likely finish 9th. Probably would have been fair for her to drop behind Marie Maude too

Maddie really looking a lot calmer and more measured than she does. This is a great dress as well. Channeling Lu chen. Definitely very classy.

Got the second Luts- jumps are looking fantastic. I hope she doesn't hold back for the rest of the program!

Well... Maddie wants it after all..... only that single axel at the end but her combos were good. She went for the second lutz too.

It will be hard to beat.

I can always tell how Maddie is going to do by the way she holds her shoulders. If she hunches it will not go well, if she holds them back she feels good.

Only mistake was the popped axel… I could see it happening as she was trembling heading to that final jump

Wow, very strong skate from Madi What a fighter! A single axel but no other mistakes and I don't think panel with hurt her too much with checking those rotations. That will be hard to beat.

And the only pop was on the double axle right? So not a huge points lost. Still, the technical score is not super far ahead of the previous leader. I thought most of her jumps were as good as she's ever done them- a little short on the triple toe in the combination, but otherwise solid

That second triple lutz was the best she's ever done- tons of height and no question on the rotation.
