2026 Canadian Nationals : Women's Long Program

I would like to see Sarah skate if there's something spunky and positive next year for her free skate like she did for her short. Something positive and maybe Dancy from the early to mid 1900s- Charleston or something like that. She has such a great bubbly personality that I think it could work for her, and keep her spirits up throughout the program, unlike this, which is pretty heavy.

Yeah she is not ready yet...I hope she gets another event to work on staying in the moment.
Yeah, I think most people thought that if nothing else she would be going to Four Continents, but hard to justify that with likely a 12th Place finish in the free skate. Still, I think I think it is still worth Skate Canada investing in her in that way.

I am such a sucker for Samson & Delilah. It elevates a program. Love her posture, attack and pacing and her technique is so strong. Keep the energy to the end and I think you will win the free.

Question Maddie with essentially a clean skate is only three points ahead of second place on technical. Did she miss some levels on her spins or step sequences or something?

Oh not enough points accrued watching the scoreboard . I loved that however.

A few pretty big mistakes though. I agree that she has the best speed in attack of anyone out there, but do you think it will be enough to cause the judges to overlook the jumping errors? This should definitely be no lower than second at this point

Nice try Gabby!!
But, too many mistakes to beat Maddie!!
Clear 2nd placement though… 👍
Honestly though, I think if she had been clean, I would have had her ahead of madeline, because she is so obviously the class of the field when it comes to everything else - the speed, the expression, the attack, the expression Etc.

In hindsight, she probably should have stuck with a triple toe triple toe, and that might have won it for her.

No I was probably watching my keyboard as she made those mistakes. I do love Gaby - she is one of my all-time favorite Canadian ladies.
