2026 Canadian Nationals : Women's Short Program

it's hard to see Hetty, former junior champion, then former senior medalist, struggle with jumps like this
What? I completely forgotten a medal at the senior level. When was that? I think it goes to show that the level in Canada has risen over the past couple years, because there are a lot more women who can rotate triple triples than there used to be.

Hetty Shi skating is pretty ! Wish that she would have more confidence in her jump, she seem to give up fast when she make mistake.

Osmond has definitely grown as a commentator, and I enjoy many of her insights as a former top skater. I still cringe a with her hyperbole, and I'd love her to grow in that area, and develop an ability to be complementary of a skater without resorting to descriptors like incredible, amazing, unmatched, etc.

I appreciate her positivity, but I am also more than happy with expressions like 'Good job', 'a win for her', 'lovely position', etc.

I think that combo fall probably takes Lulu completely out of the running for junior worlds. There were too many ahead of her already. (My vote goes to Viktoria).

Hard to believe how young some of these ladies are. If the older I get, the more impressed I am that children and young people can become so skilled at their passions!

Holy cow! That Triple Loop from Reese Rose looked big enough to be a quad! Can't wait to see it on the replay- definitely looked over rotated. Wow

And the centering on her change combination spin, especially the last part was excellent. Very impressive control on that spin for sure.

Katelyn agreed with you about that loop

Viktoria is sitting in that position.
But, we still have Reese, Megan, Uliana and Minsol (if she gets her documents) as possibilities

Marie-Maude - beautiful triple triple! Bummer on the Lutz, but again, lovely air position.

And she absolutely sold that program as well! I'm really impressed with the commitment to the choreography the past couple skaters have had!
