I really liked Amber's program!

I love just about everything about Ilia and his skating, but I agree with this. His short program from 2025 Lombardia Trophy popped up in my YouTube feed this week. He was dressed all in black, in what basically looked like practice clothes. I thought it made his lines and the technical perfection of his jumps really stand out.

This is odd. I have been using the DVR all during the OG. No problem. Suddenly, it says I can't use the DVR to record any part of the gala. What gives, NBC?

I recorded the TV broadcast but it's heavily edited. USA is supposedly going to air it tonight, but I bet it's the heavily edited version. NBC disappoints again. So Peacock does not even have a replay of the gala!? I recorded the NBC broadcast version and it was heavily cut. I want to see Yuma. I guess I'm going to have to resort to Bit Chute. It's bad form to advertise the gala on Peacock and then yank it away. I know I should use VPN. I hope the NBC contract ends soon. They have a monopoly on the broadcast for an interminable amount of time doesn't the IOC know how bad they are to us figure skating fans??

Check on Peacock under On NBC: Figure Skating And More. They went right into bobsledding after sksting. Looks like there are 8 hours worth of stuff. Figure skating comes first.

Okay, but I don't have the utmost confidence...thanks. Edited to add: I kept clicking on it and it said it just ended, sigh. I will check Peacock later to see if a replay miraculously appears somehow.... If anyone did see the full gala, what did Carolina do? And what was Yuma's exhibition skate? I'm assuming he skated an old one. I guess I could read back through all the pages of prior posts.... Thanks.

I enjoyed most performances of the gala. Personally I loved that Daniel used the song by Mahmood and Ornella Vanoni. And I liked the program of Shun. Apart from the programs I just like to see the skaters interacting. And I was glad to see Ilia in good spirits.

was expecting something really fantastic from LIU ..noticed she is using so many things now from program to program .. stroking the face and body...pointing to the audience Hope she does not get stuck in that. This program felt juniorish .. and I am a fan

Me, too. Maybe too much expectation? Loved the dress, the skate was meh (but I am old - I didn’t care for the Gaga one, either).

Please let FBCiz be one and done i can't take four more years of the same boring sleep inducing programs that the judges will salivate over which will end with of course their coronation in 2030 in their home country. The other teams might as well not even show up at the next Olympics.

I loved seeing Ms Kostner. She looks fantastic. The Italian team was amazing. Kaori doing a program made up of bits of her old programs was heartwarming especially the Amelie part from 2018. Yuma's music was so beautiful. Ilia was a highlight except of course for the painter's pants. 'Night all. Hockey early in the morning. Kaori carrying the flag as is Evan. Beyond seeing that, closing ceremony is usually a mess.

I was almost getting choked up when the Italian team skated. What a fantastic idea. And of course Nessun Dorma is such a classic Olympic level piece of music, so who better to do it than the Italian team, skating in italy, to the Luciano Pavarotti version?

It really was beautiful, though I wish there had to be a bit more zoomed out shots because the group moves for my favorite. Of course I guess if you're used to synchro, it might not have been that impressive, but seeing all those skaters that we watch for years skating in their individual categories to come together on the ice and create something elegant and beautiful it was really special.

That was my favorite part of the whole gallup. It's so neat seeing all the individuals we've watched over the years skating together on the same ice. But a special moment for italy, in Italy skating to an Italian classic.

Just watched gala on Peacock. It was both the best and longest gala I've ever seen. My highlights are Amber and Cell block tango and panda. Q: does Guillaume EVER SMILE? And, will he ever do any kind of fun program?

The replay is on Peacock. They usually don’t put it up immediately after the program.

Madison and Evan - that was probably the loveliest thing I've seen them do. Besides being beautiful and elegant, it just seemed so incredibly genuine. And this was the first time I feel like I've seen into his soul a bit. That was really beautiful.

Honestly I can't think of another program I've seen that was as lovely as Madison and Evan's. You could hear a pin drop, and I felt like I was witnessing a very private personal moment. They have never been my favorite team, but that was just so, so lovely.
