i feel a bit for Sato who felt like he failed his nation in the team event. He did not skate as well here. We did not see the best version of Kevin but he is a joy to watch. Andrew did not have his dream skate and neither did Max who i wanted so much from. Our Mexican friend was enteraining as ever and so much fun but unable to copete with the big boys. Jin was not all that earth shattering but you got ot respect the saer - h e has longevitity but it seems like the end is here. Big surprise the canadian. Stephen is getting better and better. Michael S job national director for perforance excellence or something like that maybe saved because of GOGO who will be no worse than 8th!

My GOD I just can't get into Grassl's skating, and he has some of the worst jump technique of the top men in decades.

Daniel served up carrot & quarter soup on some of these jumps, but overall did very well, especially considering the massive score he would have just heard from Misha and that there was all of this pressure on him skating at home. He didn't do enough to take the lead, but this was a far better performance than the one he had at Europeans and showed real mental fortitude. Congrats on becoming the Pope, Daniel, although I am concerned by the number of times the Pope has already died this season... someone should really look into what's going on at the Vatican.

Ooof Grassl's poor jump technique is really costing him today, and the program is slow and bland.

Must be hard to deliver on home ice, but good for him for holding it together.
