Good news: I will be watching this from home!
Bad news: I tweaked my neck badly yesterday in an attempt to relieve some minor neck pain (how ironic...). The pain got worse last night and I'm hoping staying at home will help heal it...
maybe I should use that to stay home ;)
I hope you get better soon... but be careful, watching figure skating isn't necessarily good for your neck.

FYI, Ilia trained in Bergamo this morning (lovely town, lovely rink, but it's about an hour drive from Milan in god-awful traffic), he did this the morning before the short too and it worked out well for him. I personally do not want to ever deal the traffic around Milan during the Olympics, but Ilia is much braver than me.

Regarding it being Friday the 13th and Rinky... let's just say that a lot of the men were splatting, popping, and stepping out of their jumps. The only ones who didn't have messy practices are Yuma and Kao Miura (somehow)... I don't know what that means for the event today but a lot of the guys seem nervous, even the ones in Groups 3 & 4.

I just popped over to the practice session on Peacock, and Ilia was the only one of his group not there. The others mostly looked OK to me. Yuma looked nervous in his facial expressions, but the jumps he executed that I saw were buttery smooth.

I've driven in and around Milan (and Rome for that matter) in busy traffic, and it definitely is challenging. The danger is that it takes too long because of the traffic jams. Let's hope he leaves on time!!!!

Morning all from Brisbane. Already got my seat and ready to watch some awesome skating. Hopefully the ice monster has been fed and lemons and chillies kept to a minimum 😉

Also in a good mood as I watched Australia win another gold medal a few hours earlier 😃🥇

Thank you, @sisinka for expressing eloquently what are more or less my thoughts on this matter. To me, the duel in Onegin is like the double suicide in Romeo and Juliet, a plot device.
On the other hand, I admit that I am humbled by what @Karoltyna and @Amyshka wrote: it's too damn easy for me to enjoy the show and be detached, because I have the good luck of NOT being a war refugee and not having experienced gun shots in real life.

Some time ago the ISU either prohibited or discouraged the then ongoing “dying on the ice” trend. I don't think I would agree with reinstating these kinds of restrictions. It would become like for the Rhythm Dance, where skaters are required to have “uplifting, festive” programs.

Maybe they have official transport that won't stuck in traffic? Or maybe he wants adrenaline before the comp?

the third time ever Australia have won two gold medals at the same Winter Games

After the Free Dance, I think we all needed a day to recover. So what do we come back with? The conclusion of the chaos category! :drama:

Livestream for the Men's FS is now on air.

The BBC don't tell us what they will be showing on each channel, or if it will include the skating. So I will hedge my bets and provide links to both broadcasts.

There is no UHD coverage tonight due to TNT Sports Ultimate showing the Hull City v Chelsea football match.

All the other information you may need is in the OP of this thread.

For the record: I don't have any personal thoughts on this particular program, I think I missed it performed at Chinese Nebelhorn or I may not remember it. I just have this knowledge I acquired not voluntarily that what we may deem irrelevant may have very different meaning for people with different experience.

You wished deep in your heart to stay home to watch skating and somewhere in the world a monkey's paw curled one finger
