I see a smile that could light up the rink and a skater who loves skating. And that is what I want to see.

(and I just learned this week that Donovan skates to "My Way" because his grandmother loves the song and asked him to. He saved it for the Olympic year)

Donovan!!!!! There were a few little errors in there but otherwise this was an amazing skate for him, two quads and two triple axels and his basics have improved so much as well!! He did Mexico proud, I'm sure there are so many kids now who will watch this performance and fall in love with skating and Donovan

Donovan Carrillo is so entertaining to watch

Elvis singing "My Way". Like, seriously, Donovan?!

Where that song's concerned, it's Frank Sinatra, or not at all.

To be honest, I don't think either of the first two songs worked. Donovan is a skater who is best when skating to lively music. So, getting rid of "My Way" and "Trouble " and having a bit more of "Jailhouse Rock" and "A Little Less Conversation" would probably have worked better.

But, he skated well to what he had.

He goes into the lead of both the FS and overall.
