Hagara’s better than that skate by a long way. He’s usually more consistent than that. The early mistakes really took it out him and he wasn’t able to regain his footing.

I don't know who let Hagara keep that music. It's so dynamic and dramatic, and he by the end of the program he was lilting like a late October flower.

Samoilov has so much potential, he was far from his best in both segments but he fought the hardest he could and I enjoyed watching his FS despite mistakes and he didn't collapse like we've seen that from him too in the past. Obviously Polish dumb TV channels prefer showing ski jumping training only briefly tuning in for his skate for now (and just on a side window!).

It is epic enough as it is.

That said, I wouldn't have minded if it the piano instrumental had been for the whole programme. But normal speed rather than slowed down like it was.

As soon as he finished, he made clear that he was not happy with how it went.

Can't believe he is still only 19. He has been around for so long. And doing the double in Juniors and Seniors for so long.

He goes into 5th and last position in both the FS and overall.
