There was an interview in Eurosport (edit - it was actually only on HBOMAX's streaming platform, Eurosport switched to showing the figure skating a few minutes later so they didn't show it), he said basically that he is happy not just with his skating, but even more than he is getting a lot of support from the audience in an international competition.

There is actually a fairly prominent character in an old videogame called Xan, a doomsaying elf mage. His voice set consisted of catch phrases like "We're all doomed," and "I'll see what I can do, though I doubt it will matter." According to a modern sequel his son had a sunshine disposition and didn't survive long adventuring.
