I'm a bit behind. Just finished the 1st group.
I am, of course, rooting for my birthday twin Gumennik!!
Wasn't that the cutest interview ever with him? His English was so good, and he is adorable as always.
But wasn't he criminally underscored in PCS? (which kind of was expected as he skated first).
The score will probably not be enough for him being in the last group in the free...but well done Petr!!

Wow, how strange; he went in like he was going to do a 4toe, but then did a landing pose and turned the corner and went for the 4toe again and did it. Uh oh, he is off. Meant to do a combo, but got stuck and couldn’t even get a proper 1toe off. Too bad!

Boyang!!! That was such a sublime skate. I really admire him for sticking things through, and his spins especially have improved. Loved the russian split to arched leap. I agree that 3Z was a ghost of one of the best (and one of the first consistent) quad lutzes.

NOOOOOO VLADIMIR GOT RID OF HIS CRAZY LEON SHORT PROGRAM WITH THE WEIRD SOUND EFFECTS 
this program is too normal so he had to go and have the weird toeloop mistakes where he was going to pick in for his quad, thought against it, YOLO-ed a 4T, and then had the longest wait I've ever seen for a very anticlimactic 1T after his 3F.

I think if he picked it would be an issue, but since he held the edge it was allowed?
I think its once the takeoff has started, like when people fall off the loop entry.

Augh, the brain farts in that skate. He did so well to reel off the 4T, but the 3F was so odd.
