Yuma scoring above Adam, what a disgrace. Full reputation judging.

Yuma should have been 3rd even with a clean Triple Axel. He does not have depth of performance. He's only able to perform cutesy. Adam also had the best footwork sequence, the use of edges was so challenging, engaging those edges in more difficult ways than what others attempt, and the expression throughout was absolutely superior to everyone else.
Yuma had stsq on 4, Adam on 3 (strange) and that's the main difference + Adam's skating skills below 9 - judges, I'm looking at you...

Ilia delivered too! I could have used less Kiss-style tongue vamping, but the elements were strong and his transitions are interesting (my fave move is the set of back cross rolls into a counter into the 3A, most definitely a homage to Hanyu's forward cross rolls at the end of his Seimei footwork).

Really quite an entertaining men's SP (Kevin, Mikhail - proud of Stephen too for a top 10 SP!), and some very strong skates! A lot of the guys look like they had fun, and great crowd supporting everyone.

I'm happy with this. Ilia didn't falter, Yuma not too far behind, Adam was great, Jun did enough for the final group. Sad for Shun tho.
Shun's my sentimental fave. I knew as soon as I saw his face that today was not going well. I just hope he skates a beautiful free with strong spins and, hopefully, medals at World's ( or here, but that might be unlikely)

If the guy before him with wooden skating got 45 PCS, they have to give Kagiyama at least more. Blame the Malinin effect.

All top three guys got themselves really goot shot at medal, they have a nice margin for a free skate. But it's never over until is over.
Not the best day for my boys but there is still another one.
I'm super happy for Kyrylo, Yu-Hsiang and Donovan.
Jun's PCS should be 3 points higher.
Good night!

What a thrilling men's short event today. Totally captivating from the very first group and very few weak skates! So proud of all of the Americans, Adam, Kevin, Mikhail, Junhwan, and Deniss. Pretty much all of my favorites brought their best, though I wish Kao and Donovan had skated clean. Peak Olympics this week! Wish we didn't have to wait until Friday for the conclusion but glad the men will get and extra rest day!
