Everyone looks so happy to be on the podium, great to see. Real happiness with all the couples. A wonderful atmosphere in the arena, everyone clapping and cheering. I feel a bit emotional for them all.

I enjoyed the competition so much. Feel sorry for the Hungarians, two clean skates and still off the podium.

I think Maria and Alexei were robbed
They always are. I’ve trained my brain to be used to it. I will say they could really use some polish/refinement. I would like to see them get ballet training and perhaps even acting classes over the off-season. They are such warriors on the ice; I think it would help their overall versatility to soften their image/presence to a degree and improve their posture and extension and focus on the artistic details.

They are too good to be finishing behind the Georgians.

P/S were (predictably and preemptively) lowballed by the Georgian judge, who went as far as give them -1 on their combo (other judges went with 2s and 3s) and on their last spin. There she at least was closer to the other judges on GoE. But those two GoE wouldn't make a difference anyway. Their PCSs are just not high enough & spiral was only level 2. Hope they will win a medal at worlds.

I dunno, the Georgians deserve all the GOEs on their elements except for lifts and I think the death spiral today. The quality of their pairs elements are ahead of the Hungarians IMHO. And Hungarians just don't as you say, have the polish of the Germans. Think the Hungarians need to find their style and then will be able to make the leap in PCS that is needed to medal.
