Soo beautiful, I loved it! The assisted jump sequence at the beginning is fantastic. Sliding movement as well. Technically brilliant as always.

I couldn't help wondering how cold Charlene's knees get training the lovely sliding movement.

Absolutely nothing, literally, zero barriers stops Japan from developing ice dance teams. I am sure they will.

Other than the overwhelming interest in primarily singles skating compared to other countries. Which is why Takahashi/tran and Miura/Kihara in pairs is all the more impressive.

I don’t think anyone had Gogolev finishing 3rd in the SP on their bingo cards. I’m sure the plan was to rest Piper and Paul since it appeared they are not getting a fair shake from the judges here.

No you have to add 6 points to dance or 3 points . I think Japan only had 3 points after rd.
They can't finish lower than 5th and that 6 points so japan leads

watching this on French CBC... the commentator doesn't know dance very well... (he's a former pair skater)

it's just nicer on the big screen but I wish I could get this in English with Carol

I don't like many choreo sequences, especially when skaters stop to do push-ups on the ice

There is a good chance,Piper and Paul would have beaten the Italians. Especially considering the low scores given to them here in PCS.
