Easy and probably ( despite by preference for the Italians) deserved win. Very very clean and fast edges. Great lifts, great performance.

Wow!! Carol Lane just mentioned that the Italians and LaLa skated with more flow. Which, I agree.

I like the concept of Chock and Bates free skate. But, they don’t skate with the abandonment necessary to carry this program

I don’t think anyone had Gogolev finishing 3rd in the SP on their bingo cards. I’m sure the plan was to rest Piper and Paul since it appeared they are not getting a fair shake from the judges here.

I also think Canada had no choice but to field two different entrants in ID with SD/D out and P/M having to do both pairs segments along with just 1 entry having to do both SP and FS in men and women.

Yes, but I'm not sure their turns were clean in the steps. But, good enough for third.

Well deserved SB and win. Hope for them they can continue this into the individual event. What a great thing to be able to peak at your final Olympics after so many years in competition.

That was really good from Chock and Bates.

Overall Italy are in good shape for the bronze, Georgia almost out of it, 5 points are very hard to make up with so few teams remaining.

Let's stop about fair shake

I get getting over things but let’s not try to sweep under the rug the gifts to the Americans and French in the RD even with blatant issues… and the Canadians being set up for 4th in the individual (although I do have heart for the Brits).

I never liked that choreo sequence where they stand there and clap... it's fun with the music.. but where is the dancing ?

It really is part of the Flamenco dance...the historical part, the accurate part.

There is a good chance,Piper and Paul would have beaten the Italians. Especially considering the low scores given to them here in PCS.
